Cirtex NZ Head Office
Thames

Cirtex’s new Thames head office was designed around the idea of taking inspiration from the earth itself. Because their work centres on geotechnical and civil solutions, the designer Sarah Langford of Interior Creative drew from the feel of the underground world of rock, soil, texture and warmth.

As you enter the foyer, the space has a cave-like quality with natural stone, planting and earthy tones pulled from local sedimentary rock. The 3D ceiling details add depth and are designed to give a subtle sense of being below ground, while the wall and floor finishes create a warm, cocooning atmosphere.

Quantum worked closely with designer Sarah to select tile finishes that would deliver this grounded, ageless look. Warm cream tones from the Unique Travertine range were used throughout, arranged in different patterns to break up areas gently without overwhelming the space. Cruda tiles were chosen for the stairwell and splashbacks to bring a textured, durable finish that aligns with the natural palette. The Sabbia tone adds softness and helps create an inviting entrance that will continue to age well over time.
